While Liv and Mim are considered electronic dance music’s first sisters, 2015 could arguably be the biggest year of their career. While these two have been DJ/producing, songwriting and even modeling for quite some time now, their debut album “Collateral” is on its way! So far “Rise Early Morning” and “It Feels” are the only two releases from the album, but they have confirmed the next single set to be released will be “Haute Mess”. “Collateral” even contains features from the likes of Azealia Banks, Kylie Minogue, Jake Shears and Nicky Romero!
As festival season slowly kicks into high gear, we were able to chat with Mim and ask her a few questions.

TSS: If you could collaborate with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?
Mim: Oh, man. There are so many acts that we would enjoy working with. Eminem would be massive. We’d love that. It would have been epic to work with Michael Jackson, too. He was the greatest. Kurt Cobain is another one that we would have loved to work with. He’s such a legend.
TSS: You’ve played at some of the most coveted venues and Music Festivals throughout the United States. The Gorge, Burning Man, Ultra, etc. Where would you like to perform that you have yet to?
Mim: Yeah, those were all great! We’ve been very fortunate to play at all of those spots. We would really love to play the actual Coachella Music Festival. We’ve played at a lot of parties around Empire Polo Field during those dates, but we’ve never actually performed at Coachella. We’ve gone a few times as fans. It’s such an incredibly beautiful Festival, so we’d love to get invited one year.
TSS: How easy is it for you and Liv to get along?
Mim: We’re just like any other set of siblings. We have our moments where we have our differences, but we get along really well. We’re both really good at knowing when the other needs their space and personal time, so that has always benefited us.
TSS: Why do you think it has become easier for younger artists to produce?
Mim: It’s really crazy to see the amount of quality music being made by loads of really young artists. I think all types of apps and softwares have become easily accessible. The majority of them are inexpensive and easy to learn, so these artists are able to create as much music as they want simply from their bedrooms. Studio time was difficult to acquire and expensive to rent for many years, so it was difficult to expose yourself as an artist throughout the electronic world.
TSS: How do you two go about balancing your modeling and your music careers?
Mim: We never stop either of them! We live out of two suitcases, so we’re constantly ready for our next departure, shoot, show, etc. It’s constant work, but we love it! We always look forward to New York Fashion Week because we get to see all of the trends and styles for the upcoming year.
