An up and coming talent, Daktyl is set to release his first LP “Cyclical” next month on the Mad Decent label. One of the singles off the album “Forgettable” is a joy to listen to right from the start, providing a soothing melody along with great vocals from Evan Mellows. The song has a slow and relaxing feel, so it is a bit ironic that Slow Magic gives us a remix that speeds up the tempo and adds a new element to the song.
At the start we hear a beautiful piano addition, along with a rapidly progressing beat leading up to the drop, which is somewhat reminiscent of a Flume remix. A perfect example of what a remix should do for a track, Slow Magic takes a song with an already unique sound, and brings it to a new level. If you enjoyed this song, be sure to check out the rest of Daktyl’s singles off his debut album…you will not be disappointed!
