The debut EP from upcoming trap duo Late Nite Krew dropped earlier this week over on Clubtapes.com. The tape features a couple of tracks we have featured previously on the blog as well as 4 new exclusive joints. The new songs include an original with fellow Santa Cruz based rapper Ant Dog Da Beast, as well as samples from songs such as Lil Jon’s classic ‘Snap Yo Fingaz’, Justin Timberlake’s ‘What Goes Around’ and Drakes verse off from the anthem ‘Forever’. The EP showcases Late Nite Krew’s more relaxed take on the trap game but tracks such as ‘Snap 2 It’ show their potential to veer into the more aggressive area of the EDM trap scene. You know the Summer is almost here when we get a new single from DJ Khaled. I’m not even wasting my time explaining how MAJOR this one is gonna be for the next couple months. Honestly this is a huge collaboration. So many influences were put into this one track and it really paid off because it’s amazing. Produced by Major Lazer, No Guns Allowed will be featured on Snoop Lion’s upcoming album available worldwide April 23rd. Drake and Cori B make appearances on this track as well and for anyone saying “Drake isn’t good anymore” his verse in this song will put that argument to rest. Not only does this song have the chillest vibe, I think it sends a message that we should all listen to. Take some time out to sit back and fully indulge in this amazing piece of work.

Leave it to Drake to drop a new banger out of nowhere that has the whole internet talking. ’5AM in Toronto’ features Drizzy in rare form; no singing or melodies on this one, just straight RAP! OVO’s in-house producer, Boi-1da, laces the king of Toronto with a fire instrumental that he, in turn, rips to pieces. After everyone hears this track there should be no question as to if Drake still has bars. I guess he had to remind everyone why he’s one of the top rappers in the game, and with ’5AM in Toronto’ blasting out of my speakers repeatedly since it’s release, that is VERY clear. For every person complaining Drake’s new single ‘Started From The Bottom’ was extremely boring and shitty, I still don’t understand you, BUT, luckily Feature Cuts is here to flip it into an insane dubstep banger!

It’s been a little over a year now, and what a crazy trip this has been thus far. Sometimes I am overwhelmed with the reality that I live. However, at the end of the day I just take some time to remember what it was like when I first started. I truly hope that everyone who pursues their dreams may achieve them. Struggles make the reward sweeter. There’s still a ways to go, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

When we posted the original jam a few days back, I was shocked by how much hate comments it received. My good friends,

It has truly been too long. I assume you’re all keeping well and making the most of this year that has been given to us. Today is the day to begin sharing my newest work with you. This is the first single off of my upcoming album. I feel sometimes that people don’t have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn’t consistent with actual events. My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen. I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I’m excited for this song to find a place in your life as well. I didn’t feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me. Judging by this post, the tour that we’ve been planning, the conversations about new songs and album artwork…I think it’s safe to say we’re back together again. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
