This May, Reno, Nevada, often dubbed “The Biggest Little City in the World,” is living up to its nickname in a big way. Downtown Reno is set to transform Virginia Street into an electrifying festival scene with “The Biggest Little Block Party in the World,” organized by Bass Camp Festival, a cornerstone of the Northern Nevada electronic music scene. Scheduled for May 18, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the event promises to offer an immersive experience of music, art, and community engagement under the shadow of the historic Reno Arch at Locomotion Plaza.
The festival will showcase a dynamic lineup of both national and regional artists, featuring the likes of Sidepiece, Anabel Englund, and Corey Baker, formerly known as Kill Paris. With performances spread across the Dancetronauts Bass Station Stage, attendees are in for a treat with massive production elements including lasers, state-of-the-art lighting, and pyrotechnics designed to create a sensory feast fitting for the biggest little block party.
In addition to the main stage, a silent disco provides a more intimate musical environment, featuring local talents such as DJ Algorythm, DJ Xandé, and Lazer Armageddon among others. This unique setup allows participants to engage with the music directly through headphones, switching channels to tune into different performances, providing a personalized experience amidst the communal festival atmosphere.
“The Biggest Little Block Party in the World” isn’t just about music. It’s a celebration of the vibrant culture of Reno, featuring a variety of food trucks offering local gourmet flavors, full-service bars, and local vendors.
