About a week ago The Weeknd posted the cover for an official remix of “Reminder” on instagram. Today we have the finished product and it’s definitely a work of art. When you call on big names like A$AP Rocky & Young Thug for a project like this, you can’t really go wrong. Seeing A$AP on this one comes as no surprise considering he made a guest appearance in the video for the original. The video also featured his OVOXO counterpart, Drake and his XO understudies; Belly and Nav.
The track starts off with an auto tuned verse from Thugger chronicling his come up. I could get used to more relaxed, auto tuned bars from Young Thug for sure. The Weeknd handles the hook and the second verse. It’s the same verse as the original but I guess if it’s not broke. A$AP Rocky closes out the star studded remix with a wavy 16, including a Jaden Smith shoutout. The track can be streamed on Apple Music or Spotify, get your copy and throw this on your pre game playlist.
