Drake Puts His Critics To Shame With “Charged Up”

Drake Puts His Critics To Shame With “Charged Up”
Brian Poles

On Tuesday night Meek Mill called out Drake for supposedly not tweeting a link and supporting his new album ‘Dreams Worth More Than Money’ and in response to that, saying that Drake doesn’t write his own lyrics and has a ghost writer.

Drake had been silent about the accusations until just now. On Apple’s Beats Radio 1 he premiered a new single dissing Meek called “Charged Up.”

In the song Drake directly responds to Meek and others who got in on the conversation (OG Maco and Funkmaster Flex to name a few) with lines such as “No woman ever had me starstruck or was able to tell me to get my bars up”, “All of you charity cases, hoping you can be my replacement… Snitching on me with no interrogation”, “Done doing favors for people, cuz it ain’t like I need the money off a feature”, and “I see you n*ggas having trouble going gold”.

This is what the world was looking for in response from Drake, a proper diss track instead of a petty Twitter argument. Meeks response so far:

Hopefully this spurs Meek to respond with his own song. Until then, make sure to get your popcorn ready because this could blow up at any second.
