It’s official — deadmau5 is back. The world-renowned electronic producer has announced his first full-length studio album in nearly a decade. This is massive news for the newcomers and the seasoned dance music goers. The album is set for release in 2026. Kicking off this long-awaited new era, he drops “Ameonna”, a lush, cinematic instrumental out today via his mau5trap label.
Building from shimmering atmospherics to an electrified storm of synths, “Ameonna” evokes the raw precision and texture that made deadmau5 a household name with tracks like “Faxing Berlin” and “Some Chords.” It’s both nostalgic and forward-looking — a sonic bridge between his legacy and his next chapter.
But that’s not all. deadmau5 is officially retiring his iconic Cube production and debuting an entirely new live show this November 7 & 8 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. The five-hour set will feature his techno alter-ego testpilot, new music from the upcoming album, and even a mau5 drum & bass segment to close out the night — all wrapped in cutting-edge visuals and fresh stage design.
To celebrate, Denver will host a two-day mau5hop pop-up at 95 S Cherokee Street, open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fans can grab exclusive merch, including hoodies, vinyl, hats, and even a limited Atari x deadmau5 “Meowingtons’ Revenge” playable cartridge. deadmau5 himself will be there for meet-and-greets each day from noon to 3 p.m. Entry is free and open to all ages.
With “Ameonna,” a new album on the horizon, and a fresh live experience about to debut, deadmau5 isn’t just returning — he’s reinventing.
