Few companies have had such a lasting impact on an industry as Ultra Music has had on dance music. As the record label is gearing up to celebrate its 20th anniversary, Ultra Music is bringing us Ultra Dance 16, a compilation album featuring everyone from Kygo, to Calvin Harris, to Robin. The two-disc album will feature twenty-four tracks that serve as a snapshot of 2014 for Ultra Music. This compilation album is the perfect release to pair with their 20th anniversary, as compilation albums played a major role in Ultra Music’s rise to prominence and it showcases some of their biggest releases as of late.
In celebration of the release, Ultra Music has just put out a fantastic 10 minute Ultra Dance 16 minimix. The minimix highlights select Ultra Music releases that are going to be on Ultra Dance 16, including Clean Bandit and their Grammy winning track “Rather Be,” Dillon Francis’ remix of deadmau5’s iconic progressive anthem “Some Chords,” and Kygo’s first original single, “Firestone.”
Ultra Dance 16 is out on February 24th and available for pre-order at Target and Best Buy.
