Detroit based artist, GRiZ, has been steadily on the rise since his initial release of Mad Liberation back in September of 2012 and Rebel Era in October of 2013. With the announcement of his very first Headlining performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, since his initial opening for Big Gigantic at “Rowdytown 2012”, fans have been abuzz. Shooting his music video for “Smash the Funk” on his first time through at “Rowdytown” shows the gusto he is looking to bring back to the venue. The impression left from his last visit seemed to ring true with fans as the Pre-Sale for his own “Evening of Funk” sold out in just under two hours. With supporting acts from other on the rise stars, The Floozies and Manic Focus this evening is looking to be quite the funky one. Even though there are still tickets left, you can be sure that this GRiZ performance is going to sell out with fans coming from all over to enjoy those smooth saxophone runs.
Making a name for himself with his signature Saxophone by his side, the funk-electronic producer has been featured in a multitude of festival announcements between this year and last. Playing alongside other talented artists such as Gramatik and Big Gigantic, the variations of funk, dub-step, and hip-hop sampling makes each of his shows unique and compelling. Jam on his newest single off of his up-coming album below.
