Ronaissance Takes You On a Journey With “Lightrunner”

Calling New York City home, Ronaissance has been making waves and catching the attention of some of the biggest labels around, such as NEST HQ, Mad Decent, Dim Mak, Fool’s Gold Records, and more. He has coined his sound ‘Retro Club’ and it seems to have been paying off for him. Through paying homage to the 80’s synth wave movement, Ronaissance has found his place in the scene.

Ronaissance’s new single “Lightrunner” combines his retro club sound with a progressive and uplifting drum n’ bass sound. The song seems to move you through space and takes you on a visualistic journey which makes you want to close your eyes, sit back, and relax while the music guides you. It is reminiscent to what you would hear from Jon Hopkins, as his music tells a story and this song feels as if it is doing that in the same vein.

“Lightrunner” is out now via Uprise Music and you can grab it now for free. This is a bit of a new sound for Uprise Music as they typically dabble in the clubbier, faster, and harder-hitting sounds. It is a breath of fresh air out of the label as it shows they can be diverse and recognize great music of all varieties.
