Skrillex And The Space Whale To Invade Reno For Pre-Burning Man Fundraiser

On May 27 Skrillex is bringing his talents down to Reno for the first time since 2011 to perform a benefit for the art project the Space Whale, set to appear at Burning Man and other future events this year. If you are wondering what the Space Whale is, it is a collaboration piece between the Pier Group and Android Jones; a 50 foot sculpture made of stained glass and steel and is promised to blow as many minds as the Skrillex himself.

With something as extravagant as this I don’t see them not being able to fulfill their promise and for the sculpture to live up to expectations. The event is being hosted by The Pier Group, Fresh Bakin’, World Famous Productions and Mindful Massive who are ready to make this a night like no other.

“Promising to be “not your average Skrillex show,” this one-night-only party will be full of surprises, art, one-of-a-kind staging, art cars, vendor village, live painting and fan participation the likes of which Reno has never seen before.”

Joining Skrillex at this event are Vindata, PsyFi and Richard Xavier who will be warming up the decks. Tickets go on sale April 2 and you can get them here.

This is an event you will not want to miss if you’re in the area so make sure to grab tickets when they go on-sale! Also you can learn more about the Space Whale here and donate to the project.
