In case you’re not familiar with The Golden Pony, now is a great chance for you to do so because you’re going to be hearing a lot more from them in the future. This Brooklyn-based production group is most known for their soulful remixes of popular hit songs, revamping & twisting them into a work of their own. From ILoveMakonnen, Flume & Chet Faker, Dr. Dre, and Alt-J…each remix is pretty amazing.
Their latest remix of Hozier’s “Take Me To Church” is one of the most easy-listening house tracks I have heard all week. Keeping it simple, creating an upbeat housey bassline with the incorporation of some sax, really creates such a good vibe that I want more of. Truly a track I’ve had in constant rotation therefore, absolutely well deserving of publicity. I’m sure you all will enjoy just as much as I do, so grab that free download!
