Preston Chin or better known as Robotaki has presented listeners with his proudest work. The Science EP has been on the front page of Apple Music and also New Music Friday on Spotify. It beings with Trial (Intro) with the sound of a lo-fi sample that transitions to an upbeat melody. There’s so much good funk in this tune! The second track is called Butterscotch which was released a month ago. This time he has Jamie Fine and her fine vocals on the beat. Together We’re Screwed is the next track and features Nevve’s vocals. This time it’s a Future Bass beat that is pretty catchy and fun to hear. I really like the crunchy bass in this one. Limbo is the 4th track and features SHOR on vocals. This one has a Lo-Fi Future Bass feel to it from the chimes to the supersaws and basslines. It’s a perfect blend of sound design. Restless is the 5th tune off the EP and this one has a similar feel to the first track. The lead drop sounds great and I like the variety of sounds he used. The final track is called Satisfied and features singer City Fidelia. I love how old-school the melodies are but infused with today’s technological advances. Robotaki is so damn good at that. It’s no wonder he opened up for Madeon and Porter;he’s that got dang good. His production skills are top notch and he’s also the reason why you learn music theory. Give yourself time to listen to this you’ll be happy you did!
