Reid Speed Drops Hybrid DnB/Trap Tune, “Animal”

Reid Speed Drops Hybrid DnB/Trap Tune, “Animal”
Nina T. Ravers

Play Me Records owner and resident bass queen, Reid Speed, is back with vengeance with her newest release “Animal” featuring vocals from Burnheart.

The song starts out with indie-esque vibes but abruptly flips with an energetic build and a trap/dnb hybrid drop. The hard hitting wubs and grimy synths that Reid is so well known for are a surprisingly perfect match with Burnhearts raspy vocals.

Reid on how the collab came about:

“…one day I saw Burnheart posting on facebook about how he was a vocalist and looking for projects to sing on. I sent him the instrumental and his first take was amazing. The song just felt complete! We had never worked together before, nor did I provide any instructions on what I was looking for, and yet he just vibed with the song and it came out magical.”
