Ash Riser – When It’s Over

I love introducing people to Ash Riser because at first they can’t understand why Buygore signed a rapper, but the second you hear what this bearded Los Angeles lyricist is capable of, it all becomes clear. The bass-heavy beats and aggressive flow put Ash Riser in a category of his own, caught somewhere in between freestyle hip hop and in-your-face bass music. His latest creation, ‘When It’s Over’, adds another element to his musical repertoire: The dude can sing! You’ll want to listen to this track a few times through to catch all of Riser’s lyrics because that is where this artist really stands out from the rest. With every rapper these days, it seems, trying to mimic other people’s styles, hip hop poets like Ash Riser are a breath of fresh air.
