When I was sent this mashup yesterday I was absolutely over the moon. Skrillex and Ellie Goulding’s masterpiece ‘Summit’ paired up with Taking Back Sunday!? Aside from the nostalgia this brings back it couldn’t come at a better time. I myself have been on an old-school Skrillex bender lately as we prepare ourselves for his imminent album release and this track is the perfect refresher and breathes life back into a track I truly love.
The Early Mourning is a collaborative project between Frail Limb Purity and myself. We formed after working on an EP together last year and we’ve been putting out unique tracks from all genres since, seperate from our solo projects. “Legion” itself is a hat tip to The Legion of Doom, whose punk and hardcore mashups first opened my eyes to mashups and remixing.
