Australian powerhouse Cassian‘s rise to the top continues with this seismic new single “SOS.” The new single is out now via John Summit‘s Experts Only record label. The song is one of the tracks you play for 15 seconds and you know it was built and tested for getting the peak moment of the night. And because it wouldn’t be Cassian without a touch of mischief, the release comes with this surreal backstory:
“Someone told me I look like the Easter Island statues, so at the start of the year, I went on a trip to check them out in the flesh. When I arrived, they started singing this song to me. I quickly recorded it and then was immediately possessed by a spirit who sampled it and produced it into ‘SOS’. So I guess it was a spiritual ghost producer,” Cassian explains.
“SOS” follows a run of high-impact releases including “Where I’m From” with SCRIPT and Belladonna, and the brooding crowd-favorite “Dun Dun” on Afterlife. But this new single hits with a different kind of force—a raw, stripped-down energy that feels urgent, immediate, and made for the kind of dancefloor moments that stop time.
