Nicky Romero puts the “power” into powerhouse with his new collaboration with Dutch rockstar Anouk. The track features Nicky Romero’s classic arpeggiated synths, rolling bass and uplifting melodies, this time with some added power chords and rock percussion during the breakdown to complement Anouk’s almost White Stripes style of singing. The piercing quality of Anouk’s voice is a great departure from the normal dreamy, emotional style associated with progressive house, and gives reason to believe that we can expect Nicky Romero to be drawing from a wider variety of influences for future productions.
