I love minimalist trap music. Songs like Bird Machine by DJ Snake that just have a cool synth and a hard 808 get my head moving. Jackal has mastered this with Shakedown, combining that minimalist trap shit with some FIRE lyrics. I just happened to stumble across his page on Soundcloud earlier today and I am damn glad that I did. Browsing through his tracks, there’s definitely more where this came from so keep a lookout for Jackal on your trap radars, because he’s going to blow up soon.

Just looking at the title of this track, you know it’s going to be mind blowing. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis changed the rap game this year keeping their debut album, ‘The Heist’, at the top of the charts and getting tons of radio time all without operating under a record label. Major Lazer changed the EDM game by continuing to be fucking awesome. Put these two duos together and you’ve got yourself a game changing track. Major Lazer takes the original energy of Can’t Hold Us and turns it up hard with their signature drum and synth patterns. This is the definition of “turnt up” so just download it, play it, piss off your neighbors with it.

New heater collab from Pyramid Juke & the one and only Ookay just dropped, and I sincerely hope you have a good sub to pump this one through. In true Ookay fashion there is an epic shit ton of that 808 bass we’ve all come to love, and paired with the juke style of Pyramid Juke (go figure, it’s in their name), this track goes IN. Now I know all my trap people are quite familiar with Oookay at this point, but a lot of people still aren’t familiar with Pyramid Juke who have been combining juke with trap in an incredible way for quite awhile now. You may have heard their remix of gLAdiator and Loudpvck’s ‘Scaley’ which is still part of my regular rotation, and these guys never fail to impress. Grab this one for free and support these guys!

Late Nite Krew just dropped their remix of the classic rock song ‘American Woman’ by Lenny Kravitz (yeah, I know it was originally done by The Guess Who). Taking the lyrics of this classic anthem, the boys laced it with 808′s and synths to turn in into a bass heavy trap bomb. While it’s not your typical artist to sample on a trap tune, the combination works really well and brings something fresh to the trap game. Be sure to head over to their Facebook to grab this one for free, and be on the lookout for their debut EP dropping June 3rd HERE.

Some of my favorite producers in the game right now, Team Bayside High just dropped the first of their Festival Booster mixtapes for MTV Hive. In true Team Bayside High fashion, this mix is chocked full with straight 808 smashers. The mix contains a few tracks from popular dudes in the game right now (Hucci, heRobust, D!rty Aud!o, etc.) but also contains a ton of fresh tracks from lesser known producers. The mix also contains a gang of unreleased joints from the Team themselves including a dirty ass tune that samples Welcome To Jamrock by Damian Marley as well as a bunch of edits made exclusively for the mix. Shit, you can’t help but get crazy pumped listening to this mix, so go and grab is ASAP and bump it when you’re driving, partying, showering or whenever you’re tryna get turnt.

After dropping their sixth track off this massive 10-track collaboration Animal LP titled “Burn The Block” yesterday, Bro Safari & the mysterious UFO! are back with the full-length LP for free download. Animal LP features 10 massive trap & hip-hop originals full of all the thunderous 808 drums and hip-hop samples that one could only dream of; you may even find some dubstep tunes hidden among the ruckus. Bro Safari mentioned that this album has been in the works for over one year now due to scheduling conflicts, but we’re beyond stoked that it’s finally here. Definitely worth the wait.
“All we ask is that you listen to it with an open mind, share it with your friends and come say hello whenever we play a show in your city.”
So…
Here it is. The album that we’ve been talking about for over a year. Scheduling conflicts be damned, we made it happen! Yes, the process was long, and at times it was even a little grueling, but we stuck to our guns and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Originally, we created about 16 tracks for the album, and then we narrowed it down to the songs that you have in front of you today. It was important to us that we create a collection of music that crossed multiple styles and genres, yet told a coherent story. It’s not an easy thing to do, but we feel like we pulled it off by using themes, samples, techniques and by consciously assessing what did and did not work together.
We feel like there is something for everyone on this record and we’re very pleased with the fact that we can offer this to everyone for free. All we ask is that you listen to it with an open mind, share it with your friends and come say hello whenever we play a show in your city.
So, once again – Thank you to each and every person that showed us support over the last few years. We love working together, and have already discussed plans for a follow up album.
For now, enjoy ANIMAL!

In anticipation of their forthcoming collaboration album “Animal” dropping everywhere for free this Wednesday, UFO! and Bro Safari have decided to give away one of the tracks titled “Burn The Block” for free today. “Burn The Block” is the sixth track out of ten on the album and features some of Bro Safari & UFO!’s hard-hitting hip-hop infused trap goodness full of menacing lyric samples and hard-hitting 808 drums. Stay posted for the full album release Wednesday, but for now, enjoy the free stream and download below. If you missed it, also be sure to check out our Bro Safari interview and event review from earlier this month.
We’d like to offer a very sincere thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts as a collaborative team over the last few years. We truly love working together and we’re already planning our next album. A lot of time and energy went into making this happen, and the fact that we can give it away for free, on our own terms, is amazing. So, THANK YOU!!!

You may have heard of David Heartbreak before, producing big time tracks such as “Acid Youths” or “Boogie Monster”. Being described as “innovative” by Skrillex and an “originator” by Diplo, OWSLA newcomer David Heartbreak is tearing up the EDM scene. Brooklyn-born, David Heartbreak started off his music career in hip hop. Following his love for electronic music, Heartbreak started producing original tracks. Some of his direct influences include producers such as Timbaland, Afrojack, Skrillex, Dada Life, Diplo, and Brodinski. His love of travelling and interest in other cultures have been huge influences in his music. In a recent interview with Moombrotron, David comments on his own sound. “I think if you listen to a lot of different genres, you eventually want to create different genres. I love music as a whole; EDM, reggae and hip hop, so it makes sense to me to fuse the genres.” The Foundation EP blends together reggae, hip-hop, and moombahton undertones to create a beautiful melody of sounds. The introduction encompasses you in soothing reggae beats, with a tribute to moombahton roots. However the next track, “Yardcore Pressure”, is a real trap banger! Keeping his reggae undertones prevalent, Heartbreak hit’s the bass heavy with this one and creates an original sound sure to keep listener’s captivated. Dave Nada, American DJ and creator of Moombahton, has nothing but great things to say about David. “Heartbreak does just that: breaks hearts with his soulful records, and breaks chests with his hardcore jams. David is an all-time all- star producer and DJ. Full support.” Just released Tuesday, here is David Heartbreak’s debut EP from OWSLA record’s, The Foundation. Listen here and if you want to support him, buy the EP on Beatport!
The mysterious UZ embarks on his ‘Up In Flames’ tour of North America this week, bringing his killer trap productions to a city near you this spring and summer. Tour dates are below with more to be announced!
UZ surfaced in 2012 with his amazing Trap Shit series on Soundcloud, with the never-before-heard “Trap Shit V16″ revealed today for free download. Last month, UZ released “Trap Shit V12/13” on Boys Noize Records with remixes from Justin Martin, Clicks & Whistles and Audionite out now. Immediately gaining attention and praise from tastemakers and top record labels, UZ has since also dropped records on Mad Decent, OWSLA, Mau5trap, and SMOG. “UZ tunes are drunken energy sub bass and cartoon horn stabs that make my stomach feel weird and my feet shuffle,” Diplo writes. Though the details of his personal identity are unknown, his productions and style have a life of their own. His sounds are minimal, yet powerful, with a menacing intensity, maturity, and restraint. And as anyone who has witnessed him live can attest, one must see to believe. He is more than a sound, or a mask, and can only be described as one thing: UZ.
Check out a rare interview with UZ on YouTube at Red Bull Studios in Los Angeles, where he recorded his highly acclaimed “UZ BallTrap Muzic Vol. 1” mixtape released on Clubtapes.com, featuring Trinidad James, Trae Tha Truth, Problem, Salva, Iamsu, Casey Veggies, Djemba Djemba, Clicks & Whistles, Trap Arnold, Thoth, Paz, CRNKN and Baauer.
