It’s always cool to see someone you actually know blowing up. Doug Bogan, a DJ who goes to school with me at Bucknell (although he just recently graduated), is extremely good at what he does, and if you haven’t heard of him before, you should definitely take some time to peruse his back catalog of mashups and original tracks on Soundcloud. There are a ton of bangers in there that can bring the party pretty much anywhere. One thing that’s especially awesome about Doug is that aside from being a DJ, he is also an accomplished jazz and classical pianist, which is something that most people in the EDM scene definitely do not have going for them.

Anyway, this is a pretty awesome mashup of his including Krewella, Zedd, R3hab, Nicky Romero, Vicetone and more, and its a serious banger. He just dropped this video chronicling a recent show of his in San Diego, which goes really nicely with the track.

So while CHANGE is busy working away on original material, he returns to his ‘roots’ and releases these three brand new mashups! The first one up titled ‘Leaving’ is by far my favourite and takes the vocal work on the anthem ‘Reload’ along with the late night infectious sounds from Audien and Paul Oakenfold. The second track up takes the vocals of Nervo’s ‘Reason’ along with Dirty South and The Killers thrown into the mix, creating this busy, eclectic mashup that works brilliantly. The final track takes on so many vocals that I can’t even keep track, along with an instrumental pitting Albert Neve and A-Trak against each other. This whole free EP bundles up quite nicely, and is certainly worth picking up for free.

Say what you will about mashup producers, but in my opinion The White Panda are two of the best, and my opinions are always the right. I got to see White Panda front row at Lights All Night in Dallas 2 years ago and it was honestly the greatest EDM related experience i’ve ever had. The White Panda is pure, unfiltered party music; TRY to listen to their music without dancing. Actually don’t, you’ll probably explode. Released just yesterday for FREE on their Facebook page, Bearly Legal includes over 30 new tracks from the two dudes in the panda masks and they are all spectacular. Trust me, i’ve listened to it 4 times already. To be able to hear two completely different songs at different BPMs and think “Hey..I think these should go together” and then execute it into a seamless mashup takes true talent, and I respect the hell out of The White Panda for it. Note: You can download both the continuous mix, and the separated tracks on their Facebook page, which i’ve linked to below. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Bearly Legal (Spoiler alert: Rihanna and Game of Thrones).

So last month Kap Slap dropped a brilliant hour long mix, packed with plenty of dope mashups and a lot of energy. Earlier this week he put up this incredible single up for download and it blends some brilliant tracks from a variety of artists. Building up with Icona Pop’s vocals works just perfectly before he drops into the low, growling remix from Albert Neve of Guetta’s anthem ‘Play Hard’. Make sure to grab the track and blast it as the summer arrives!

Anyone that truly knows me understands how important of a song ‘Language’ is to me, and I don’t take mashups lightly at all. This track is absolutely perfect. Troika has a lot of creativity, and a sensibility when it comes to mashups that allows him to blend tracks that shouldn’t work, but they do. Blending the euphoria of ‘Language’ with the funky, soulful vocals of ‘September’ with other supporting vocal samples from Gary Go’s work on ‘Cinema’ and the magnificent vocals from Empire Of The Sun. This mashup is all around a brilliant track, so PLEASE take the moment to give it a heart on HypeM!

I think a few congratulations are in order for GTA on this one. Not only have they reached 20,000 followers on twitter, but they somehow managed to upload this 3 track bootleg pack for us fans while on tour with Rihanna in Europe. While spreading the GTA love in lands overseas might be easy currently, the internet had other plans for us in the U.S and proved it quite difficult to upload. Luckily, these two kept at it and here it is! Included in this bootleg pack are three party bumping tracks that might sound familiar from either their live sets or Death To Genre mixes. Each one invokes the GTA flare we’ve come to know and love- putting that flirty, booty moving, fist pumping, head bobbin beat into our lives and on to what should be your daily playlist. So just as I thought Ricky was going to be on a hiatus for a while, he drops this one. If you follow Ricky Cervantes on Twitter, then you know that he is all too frustrated with mashups of Alive, and on one night posted an entire set of the same mashup, with the same samples, made by about twenty different artists.
