Forget about dinner tonight; it’s straight to dessert. Fresh out of Candyland’s Sweet Shop Records comes a blazing 2-track EP from the rising Oklahoma City-based duo known as Waxx Crooks. These two up-and-comers have been making some noise over the past few months and have rightfully gained the attention of the OWSLA-endorsed Santa Barbara-based Candyland duo. Ghosts EP showcases Waxx Crooks’ musical dexterity behind the production boards over two insanely bass-heavy originals titled “Ghosts” and “Wake Up.”
The title track “Ghosts” will awaken all the spirits in your house and all the way down the block without a doubt with the gut-wrenching dubstep drops and groovy melodic backdrop. Following up with “Wake Up,” Waxx Crooks has not left one stone left unturned in the world of bass with this upbeat masterpiece. This project will be available via BeatPort tomorrow, so stay posted for that.
Along with the exclusive EP, Waxx Crooks also threw together an epic 28-minute mix for us that has been gaining support from a few big names such as Krewella & 3LAU.
