Citizen Cope – Lifeline (Figure Remix) [Hurricane Sandy Relief]

Figure hands-down has to be one of the nicest and most thoughtful producers in heavy bass music today. Not only does he thank mostly everyone who has supported him over the length of his musical career, but at a time when our country is in need, Figure has produced a remix to help donate money for those who were victimized by the devastation brought upon them by Hurricane Sandy. To shed some light on this disaster, Figure took Brooklyn’s alternative rock sensation Citizen Cope’s famous track ‘Lifeline’ and morphed it into the EDM world with grimy, yet smooth-flowing bass to accentuate Citizen Cope’s amazing lyrics before unleashing a mess of nastiest at the end. All that Figure’s asking in return for this “reliefstep” masterpiece if that you donate some money to the charities supporting those in need below. If you don’t have any money to donate at the moment, that’s alright, just help by sharing this song with your friends and spreading the love.

People always ask what kind of music I listen to when I’m not in the studio or on tour, and Citizen Cope has always been among my chill playlists. When I started the remix, the team reached out to Cope and we both agreed to release it for free to the fans. If you are unfamiliar with his work, he’s currently touring throughout the US. Visit http://citizencope.com and find a show.

This remix just seems fitting for what’s going on today, so releasing it into the wild with hopes it raises awareness for our friends along the Eastern seaboard who need a little lifeline right now.

Grab the download for free at http://imfigure.net/audio/lifelineremix/ and donate the money you would have spent to help Sandy Relief efforts. We found a few good organizations you can pick from, or do the research and find one you like better.

And if you don’t have money, that’s OK. Maybe help by sharing the link to the post on the site or the link to a relief organization that is doing good for our friends in need.
