After making quite the lasting first impression on the Dim Mak faithful with “Trip to Roma,” RayRay has now teamed up with Softest Hard for “Fall Apart.”
Both being true bass enthusiasts, these two put the creative minds together to cook up a euphoric house hit driven by angelic vocal chops a rolling bassline.
RayRay shares, “I’ve known Softest Hard for quite a while, and we finally had the chance to collaborate on a track together. While creating this song, I was inspired to combine uplifting melodies and rhythms to craft a song about heartbreak—something I feel I’m quite good at. The idea also aligns perfectly with Angel’s name, “Softest Hard.”
For the arrangement, I decided to move away from my usual hard-hitting style and challenge myself by incorporating elements of Speed House and experimenting with vocal chops. This song is meant to show a different side of me and Softest Hard. I hope it brings a fresh experience to the listeners, and I’m looking forward to sharing the music video we shot together!”
Softest Hard adds, “When Rayray sent me the first initial version of Fall Apart, I completely fell in love with it. From the lyrics, her vocals, and my favorite part of the song, the drop, I knew I had to get on it and add some Softie sauce. My hope for the song is for listeners to relate and get strength from the lyrics, which I find extremely relatable.”
