While its impossible to keep up with everyone, we’re here to steer you in the right direction with VEROS being one name you should be keeping a close eye on.
Doing some serious damage throughout the past year with a steady flow of releases, this bone-rattling bass loving Florida native has quickly proven to be a blossoming force to be reckoned with as we continue to trudge through 2024.
Still buzzing off the release of his colossal collaboration “Primitive” with RAZR, we took the time to get to know VEROS a little better!

TSS: Who or what introduced you to the world of bass music?
VEROS: I was 12 or 13 when I discovered Skrillex’s music, which led to a deep dive into watching music festival live streams and his old sets. It just became part of what I love.
TSS: What is it that made you fall in love with the genre?
VEROS: The environment, the creativity, and music in general. I think that seeing Kompany play a set in person definitely locked in that love for dubstep even more.
TSS: DJing or production – which came first?
VEROS: DJing! Shortly after discovering Skrillex, my dad bought me a Numark board, and I would DJ my middle school dances from 6th to 8th grade, playing nothing but bass music. Eventually, I learned to produce before going under mentorship with Felmax.
TSS: For anyone who may not be familiar with Veros, how would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
VEROS: For someone who may not be familiar with Veros, my music is a depiction of unspoken emotions. It’s my creative outlet, ranging from making angry and high-energy songs to softer, more sentimental music.
TSS: What gear and programs are you using these days when it comes to production?
VEROS: Right now, I use Ableton 11 with over 130 plugins, Audio Technica MX50s, among a couple of others, but that’s about it.
TSS: What’s your creative process in the studio?
VEROS: Usually, when I sit down to write, I almost always have a goal in mind of what I am trying to make. Regardless, I always like trying new things in the DAW, new genres, new tricks, but a lot of the time, I’m sharpening my sound with sound design sessions, which makes it so easy to put an idea together and work efficiently.
TSS: What’s your process when cooking up an “overclocked” flip?
VEROS: The main process is trying to keep it simple, hard-hitting but still pays tribute to the original song. My evolution flip is a great example of that, using a little bit of the original sounds in the drop while incorporating my own sounds and style.
TSS: When you have a rough week or hit a wall creatively, how do you get yourself back on track?
VEROS: Usually, if it’s an idea I’m stuck on, I’ll step back for a day and give myself a mental break. I treat myself and then come back to it with fresh ears, or I’ll challenge myself to change genres, and that tends to spark my creativity.
TSS: Tell us a little about your collaboration “Primitive” with RAZR and how it came together.
VEROS: “Primitive” with RAZR is actually one that was in the vault for a bit. I hit up RAZR to collaborate and sent over a 30-second clip; he concurred, and after going back and forth finding a fine balance between our styles, we came to the final product of what “Primitive” is now, and needless to say, we both love it!
TSS: What are three tracks that you’re currently rinsing out and why?
VEROS: My collaboration with Level 7, Makoto’s “End,” Sam Lamar X Kyture’s “Phantom,” and Trvcy X High Zombie’s “Fugitive.” All three are absolute bangers and go off every single time I’ve played them out!
TSS: You recently made your Philly debut at The Ave sharing the stage with Control Freak, Felmax and Space Laces, how did it feel?
VEROS: Sharing the stage with my idols is amazing. I’m super grateful that I was given the opportunity to do it (shoutout to Yale). Getting this far in my career is a dream come true and an all-around moment for Felmax and me as he’s been my mentor for the past 3-4 years.
TSS: Now that 2024 is well underway, what does Veros have in store for the future?
VEROS: Definitely more music! With my Debut EP dropping earlier this year, that’s just the start of the new sound design I’m bringing to VEROS and ultimately a taste of what Yale and I have planned for my project.
