TSS: Who or what introduced you to the world of house music?
Kiro Prime: Growing up in Honduras was like living a movie! Every moment shaped me in ways I never imagined. But let me tell you about my music journey. At 14, I met Roman, a DJ/Producer from Ukraine. He introduced me to electronic beats, and my mind was blown! I dove into Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto’s music, mesmerized. Then, destiny handed me a laptop. It became my gateway to creating beats and exploring new sounds. The rest? Well, it’s history!
TSS: DJing or production – which came first for you?
Kiro Prime: Producing came first, and let me tell you, it was like discovering a hidden treasure! I stumbled upon “Ableton Live” while scouring the internet for ways to make electronic music. With just a free download and a spark of curiosity, I dove into the software, not knowing what to expect. As I crafted my very first beat, I was hooked! The rush of creating something from scratch had me completely locked in. From that moment on, producing became my obsession, fueling my passion for music like never before.
TSS: What made you want to follow a path in music?
Kiro Prime: What made me follow the path of music was destiny itself. It’s like the universe had a playlist just waiting for me to hit play. From the moment I discovered the sheer magic of music, I felt its irresistible pull. Every beat, every lyric, every melody spoke to me in ways words couldn’t describe. As I immersed myself in the sounds of great artists and unforgettable songs, I knew deep down that I wanted to create my own musical journey—a journey that was uniquely mine.
There’s something incredibly special about playing music, about weaving melodies that resonate with people’s souls. The sheer joy of seeing faces light up, of feeling the energy pulsating through the crowd—it’s indescribable. Music has this incredible power to uplift, to inspire, to connect us in ways nothing else can. And for me, that’s what it’s all about—creating moments of pure happiness through the universal language of music. It’s a path I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.
TSS: For anyone who may not be familiar with Kiro Prime, how would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Kiro Prime: Describing my music is like entering a world of energy and spontaneity. It’s about crafting unique beats that ignite the soul and set the stage for an unforgettable dance party. My music fuses pure energy and feel-good vibes, designed to make you move and feel alive. Get ready to dive into a world where every beat invites you to embrace the magic of the moment!
TSS: Speaking of producing, what hardware and software do you use these days?
Kiro Prime: When it comes to crafting ideas, I actually don’t need that much gear, all I need is my laptop and some headphones and I’m good to go, I work with what I got and make the best of it.
TSS: What’s your creative process in the studio?
Kiro Prime: I usually listen to other artist music, for reference It could be anything that fuels my creativity from a small acapella to a cool little sample, when creating music it all comes down to being yourself and just humming crazy melodies until you find something that gets you going.
TSS: When you have a rough week or hit a wall creatively, how do you get back on track?
Kiro Prime: When faced with a rough week or creative block, I’ve learned the importance of stepping back and giving myself the space to recharge. Sometimes, the best way to get back on track is to hit the pause button and indulge in activities that bring me joy and inspiration.
Whether it’s immersing myself in the captivating world of movies or anime, losing myself in the rhythm of music, or even diving into a virtual adventure through games, I find solace in moments of pure entertainment. And let’s not forget the healing power of nature! There’s something incredibly grounding about stepping outside, feeling the earth beneath my feet, and letting the beauty of the world wash over me.
But perhaps the most transformative tool in my arsenal is meditation. Taking the time to quiet my mind, to breathe deeply, and to center myself in the present moment—it’s like hitting the reset button for my soul.
In the midst of chaos, I remind myself that there’s no rush, no deadline that’s worth sacrificing my peace of mind. Embracing the journey, embracing the ups and downs, is all part of the process. So, I take each setback as an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to emerge stronger than before. After all, the path to creativity is paved with moments of stillness, reflection, and self-discovery.
TSS: Tell us a little about your recent release, “Rock The Mic,” and how that one came together.
Kiro Prime: Rock The Mic has been a collection of ideas trough out the years, I always wanted to create my own original “Renegade Master’ “Wild child, Moby, Fatboy Slim” to name a few have been a huge inspiration for this one, I always wanted to bring that old school vibe to these modern times.
TSS: How does it feel to continue to have releases on the powerhouse dance music imprint that is CONFESSION?
Kiro Prime: Releasing music with Confession was always a dream and a long term Goal, when i discovered Tchami & Malaa music, it always stood out from the rest, I knew I wanted to craft music that could resonate with what they usually play and what keeps my Originality, turns out that I managed constantly get supported by them and release records with them, so grateful to be able to work with such amazing artist and behind the scenes crew.
TSS: Now that 2024 is underway, what does Kiro Prime have in store for the future?
Kiro Prime: Now that 2024 is here, get ready for an epic ride! I’ve got awesome music in the works and a slew of exciting projects lined up.
