Considered two true forward-thinking minds when it comes to production, Buku and SubDocta have spent some serious time in the kitchen to cook up a “Sweet & Sour” collaboration.
Putting their creative minds together to deliver a truly mind-bending and delectable treat, this tribal-inspired freeform bass behemoth coming equipped with whimsical woodwind melodies, gritty low-end and dizzying synth stabs.
“SubDocta and I have been friends for a number of years, and we decided it was time to dive into some music. We both come from somewhat similar worlds of music, which I think shines through with this girthy groover. I think it’s fairly obvious that, between the two of us, he’s the ‘sour’ component of the duo—highlighted by his general angst and behavior. I’m just playing… or am I? Either way, we had a blast with one,” Buku explains
SubDocta adds, “Felt really good after years of friendship and debauchery to work on this tune! Rob [Buku] really is the sweetest boy and such a talented producer. It was an honor to work with, not only a good friend, but an amazing legend in the world of bass music.”
