After closing out 2022 with this highly anticipated artist album CAGE SCRIPT, k?d adds to his arsenal with a high-octane new original coming in the form of “YOU AND ME.”
Showcasing his versatility as a production once again, he now unleashes a truly genre-bending single that sees the worlds of phonk and house collide for an exhilarating tune accompanied by enticing vocals throughout.
“Phonk has been around for ages but it has recently had a lot of success and evolved into a newer sound with the internet. At the same time, I have also been getting into the car scene, building my first project car (this is actually the first time I started driving again in five years because I’ve been so busy touring). Naturally, the car community and phonk go hand-in-hand, so it was destined for me to make some phonk music for fun. As time went by, I noticed I haven’t seen phonk music translated that well at shows, with very few DJs playing it at festivals or clubs. So, I thought I should make a track that still has an electronic feel and can be played in those settings. This is the result of that idea,” k?d explains.
