Hardwell‘s hot streak continues with a rework of 4 Strings’ timeless classic “Take Me Away” alongside the Dutch phenomenon Maddix.
These two recently joined forces to revisit the iconic dance anthem “Satisfaction” and have now done the same to the original version of “Take Me Away” which was a breakthrough hit best known for its presence on the Dance Dance Revolution games in the early 2000s.
It’s safe to say dance music fans who may be a little too young to remember this one slapping through speakers during its heyday will certainly appreciate the undeniable energy these Dutch talents have managed to inject into the exhilarating vocal-driven gem.
“Following a wild run of REBELS NEVER DIE return shows, it felt like a good time to officially release this special rework of a classic as 2023 gets underway. We wanted to give the dramatic, atmospheric feel of the original a heavier, harder-edged energy. Bringing it up to date with the sound that fits each of our shows,” Hardwell explains.
Maddix adds, “This is a song that truly gets the crowd going in the breakdown, I’ve had a few shows where everyone sung along. Seeing and experiencing that always gives me goosebumps.”
