Popping onto the scene over a decade ago, proving to be a production prodigy when it came to the world of progressive house, in addition to being a true melodic mastermind, Audien continues to use his platform to push the progressive genre forward.

The Grammy-nominated producer made a name for himself during the golden era of progressive house with this anthemic remix of Bastille’s “Pompeii” and looks to give the genre new life with each, and every release with the mantra “progressive house never died.”

Still buzzing off of his latest offering, “Drifting Away” featuring Joe Jury, Audien shares the tracks that inspired him most.

These five tracks ignited his passion for electronic music, and I guess you could say the rest is history. Check them out below!

Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl ft. Georgi Kay – In My Mind (Axwell Mix)

Audien: That classic, golden age progressive house energy really inspired my music.

Avicii – Seek Bromance

Audien: Absolute classic that I don’t necessarily try and replicate-but want to capture the essence of.

Alesso – Years

This was one of the first ones I heard live and I’ve always tried to capture the impact this record has on crowds in my own music.

Arty ft. Chris James – Together We Are

Audien: An absolute classic; with the uplifting and hopeful lyrics; it really helped guide my writing.

Martin Garrix, Matisse & Sadko – Forever

Audien: I love the “cinematic-ness” of this record. It really paints a picture of hope purely with the production and strings. I love it.
