After their reunion at Ultra Music Festival Miami in 2018 after their five-year split, the world had been waiting for a world tour from Swedish House Mafia, with 2022 being the year electronic dance music fan’s dreams would come true.
Not only was the iconic trio back on the road, but they also unleashed their 17-track album, which, as expected, had star-studded singles dominating the airwaves before its full release.
Giving the world a taste of what’s to come during Coachella this past April, Swedish House Mafia would take their tour to the biggest cities across the globe, which included a stop at New York’s Madison Square Garden. This would be their return to the legendary venue for the first time since 2013 when they were on their farewell tour.
While they returned to the city that never sleeps on a Wednesday night, MSG was buzzing with Swedish House Mafia fans, both new and old, eager to catch the trio in action, showcasing new awe-inspiring stage production that the world got a glimpse of during their Coachella set.
After stellar performances from Chloé Caillet and ZHU, it was time for Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso to take center stage opening with a wild mashup of “It Gets Better” and “Greyhound” then getting the party started with their 2022 edit of “Miami 2 Ibiza.”
Electrifying the crowd with a relentless barrage of high-octane mashups and menacing 2022 edits of fan favorites such as “Antidote” and “Leave The World Behind” in addition to playing out their latest hits “Redlight,” “Don’t Go Mad,” “Moth To A Flame” and “Heaven Takes You Home,” this Swedish House Mafia set was truly the best of both worlds.
The trio will continue touring across the United States before paying visits to the rest of the world through Novemeber and I’d highly recommend catching them when they come to a city near you. This show is a can’t miss!
