Feels good to dust the old blogger fingers off aye? We return with one of the keystones to the music scene here in Atlanta. Alex Dunsker, better known by his moniker, Otica, dazzles with his latest offering “Drift.” The song belongs in a dark basement alongside all your favorite people. Add a couple of drinks and you might just fall down the deep end. The single is alongside his high school band mate, Shier Wild. The silky top line hypnotizes, the minimalistic vocal sample adds, and the full experience can only be had with your feet planted on the dance floor. Another important announcement to be aware of is Snacktime Events. This is formally known as Housewerk, which was the hottest intimate house show in Atlanta. There is an upcoming show on April 23rd. This track was one of the first times I felt like I didn’t have to try to find the sound and let things just flow organically. Shier Wild & I wrote and recorded the silky vocals in a couple hours and immediately knew the message. Kicking off this chapter of releases 2022 is definitely the best music I’ve ever made.
