Everyone has got to start the new year somewhere and for Kompany, that is today. The lauded dubstep producer has stepped out of the shadows for his first release of the year, and it is a doozy as he has teamed up with fellow hard-hitting producer Samplifire on “Limit.”
“Limit” combines a handful of fascinating themes in this song, most notably industrial dubstep and medieval strings. The song builds up with your usual dubstep sound but then mixes in a melody of medieval-style strings before hitting you with a modern heavy dubstep drop. The song somehow simultaneously places you back in the Middle Ages and in the 23rd century with this blend during the build up and breakdown. Overall, the tune is a head-banger with its pounding bass and gritty vocal samples.
You can grab “Limit” now via Never Say Die through the link below. These two producers were on a crash course to collabing as Samplifire had recently remixed Kompany’s and Slander’s song “Broken.” Now that the two have connected formally, we can say there is no disappointment here. So check out “Limit” now and get to steppin.
