While his name has always been linked to the trap genre, QUIX has proven quite often that he is the furthest thing from a one-trick pony when it comes to production with his newest offering “Somebody” being a prime example of that.
Switching things up this time around venturing into the world of downtempo, the New Zealand native showcases his versatility with a moody gem of a production featuring serene vocals from Alex Hosking.
“Almost exactly a year ago I got in the studio with Alex and a few other awesome people to write “Somebody”, and I’m really happy we get to put out such a chill-styled record. Normally I’m accustomed to the harder bass-heavy songs but I feel this song brings out the melodic & ethereal side of me, and I’m excited to hear what you think!” QUIX explains.
