Miami Beach Rejects Proposal to Host Ultra Music Festival 2020

Miami Beach Rejects Proposal to Host Ultra Music Festival 2020

After recently terminating their contract with the City of Miami, Ultra organizers made their way back to Miami for a meeting with Miami Beach commissioners to discuss the festivals return to downtown following the city’s recent “City of Miami Sunshine Meeting.”

While some commissioners believed the loss of Ultra was a blow to the city, Commissioner Ricky Arriola brought a proposal to the table with the idea of hosting the festival at Lummus Park which was rejected in a vote of 5 to 2.

Miami commissioners plan to discuss bringing Ultra back at a future meeting, however, and Homestead is also courting the festival.
