Miami Beach Rejects Proposal to Host Ultra Music Festival 2020

After recently terminating their contract with the City of Miami, Ultra organizers made their way back to Miami for a meeting with Miami Beach commissioners to discuss the festivals return to downtown following the city’s recent “City of Miami Sunshine Meeting.”

While some commissioners believed the loss of Ultra was a blow to the city, Commissioner Ricky Arriola brought a proposal to the table with the idea of hosting the festival at Lummus Park which was rejected in a vote of 5 to 2.

Miami commissioners plan to discuss bringing Ultra back at a future meeting, however, and Homestead is also courting the festival.
