Spotify decided to add Modern Machines’ latest single, “The Moment” to their Friday Cratediggers playlist. After one listen, you will see why. The punchy kick, the contagious vocal melody, and the momentum drives you to hit that repeat button. King Leer delivers a top class performance on the vocals. You may recognize the voice. That is because he is in the band Saints Slumber. If you haven’t heard of the group before, I recommend you checking out their stuff. Dimitry Mak better known as Modern Machines had the following to say about the song,
“The moment is a song about being in a rut in your life and breaking free from it. No matter what we’re going through, learning to live in the moment offers a relief from what’s worrying us. This song captures the energy of letting everything go, if even just for a night.”
New York City is stoked to call Modern Machines one of theirs. Have you heard his collaboration with Canadian duo Adventure Club? Listen to that here. Make sure to share with your friends if you are vibing.
