There’s something about a music project with a mysterious air that makes it much more interesting. In the past year we’ve seen a producer reveal his identity and another conceal his. Next on the chopping block of seemingly unidentified sensations we have Loosid. Their shape shifting remixes and genre bending originals have put them right in the spotlight. Two of their remixes in particular have amassed quite a bit of attention; their rendition of “Light” by San Holo and an electronic twist on “Free Fallin” by John Mayer.
The most recent release from Loosid is a downtempo, experimental type track titled “No Gravity.” I’m a fan because you never know what to expect when you click play on a song by them (him/her?). The range on display within this track is a perfect representation of their reach. The melodic rhythm evolving into those crunchy synths makes you feel like this tune just took you on a journey. For more info on the collective, check their website but for now turn this one up!
