Brazilian producer Metacentric is known for his darker techno sound while Portuguese house and bass producer Holly is known for his heavier beats. The two have come together in an unlikely pairing for a dark techno/house hybrid “Aguanegra.” The song uses industrial beats and fast-paced snares to open up. An ominous undertone sweeps through the progression to give it an eerie feeling. Finally a breakdown comes in to ease the pressure that has been mounting and a heavy techno driven drop hits you. The snares remain integral and the song then goes back into a dark and sinister buildup before hitting you with an even more menacing drop. The song is six full minutes of the supernatural and freaky. It has a real Rezz-like vibe to it which resonates well.
