Phiilo (ph-eye-low), an emerging group out of Denver, Colorado have been catching the eyes of some big players in the scene, including Spinnin Records. The group consists of producer and guitarist Nick Carruth and singer/songwriter Jonny William. The duo uses live guitars and vocals mixed with electronic productions to catch the attention of their listeners. Last week the two dropped their most recent original “Without You.”
“Without You” blends funky and deep house sounds with well-known future bass and Jonny’s heartfelt lyrics. The combination of sounds in this makes for a truly unique track in which we have not heard the likes of. There has not been any other group out there that we have heard, to blend future bass with house and R&B. It is a refreshing sound that these two have come up with and may have found a niche in an industry in which it is hard to find one.

Phiilo is on a nice hot streak with the label, this being their second release with them and have a third coming sometime down the road.
