Coming straight from the men themselves, AGLORY claims to be a master of the dark arts and it shows in their productions. Hailing from Paris, France where the darker sounds of house thrives, producers like Gesaffelstein and Brodinski have cemented their legacies in the genre. AGLORY is now trying to position themselves up there in the elite realm that these two sit and their sound may be on the verge of getting up there.
Out today is AGLORY’s latest original “Dobermann,” which is presumably a follow-up of their previous original “Mantis.” “Dobermann” is fierce and catchy. Its deep bassline combines with rattling synths to give it a despairing feeling. The vocal samples provide eeriness to the song along with the rough snarls of a dog you can briefly make out at the halfway point. The beat stopping and then picking up pace quickly gives the song a horror movie type feel which lends much credence to the bleak sound he is going for.
“Dobermann” is out now via Uprise Music who has not really previously dabbled in this type of production. It is a sound that is far-reaching and can be great when not being overdone. Producers like Rezz have helped blossom the genre over the last year or so and it is again quickly re-emerging in the states. There is always popularity surrounding Gesaffelstein and Brodinski but for the genre to continue to thrive there needs to be young new talent and AGLORY is helping to provide that. So check out their new song now down below and be prepared to get swallowed by darkness.
