Music has always been an expression of culture. Australian artist, Daily Holla, grew up very close with the country’s Aboriginal culture since he was very young, and it had a deep impact on his upbringing. As an ode to the Indigenous community he grew up with, the Gold Coast producer has released a new single, “Yolngu,” that he has coupled with a video consisting of clips from his visits to the Arnhem Land people.
“Yolngu” is a powerful blend of gritty electric guitar lines, full synths, and groovy bass lines, sprinkled with authentic Aboriginal chants. The video, which you can watch below, gives viewers an inside look into the Arhem Land village that Daily Holla shared memories with and wants to celebrate.
