So if you haven’t realized by now, the Chicago Cubs are in the World Series. Which in Chicago is kind of a big deal considering they haven’t won it in over 100 years. So to set the scene for you, last Saturday night Rezz and Malaa came to town literally hours after the everyone found out the Cubs were returning to the World Series. So probably one of the biggest frenzies we will ever see in Chicago was paired with insane lineup to cap one massive night. The vibes were insane all night with everyone in a great mood. Rezz hopped on and played a bunch of her signature sounding originals and some of my set favorites including ‘Basshead.’ What I love about her sets compared to a lot of other artists is that she plays a bunch of those 2011-2012 throwbacks that got me into this music in the first place. After her came the masked man Malaa. He dropped all the fan favorites including ‘Notorious’ which is hands down my own personal favorite. The combination of Rezz and Malaa is honestly such a great night of music and with the whole town feeling on top of the world there was really no better place to be.
