Major Lazer Calls Upon Justin Bieber & MØ For “Cold Water”

It wasn’t that long ago when Diplo announced Major Lazer had been working with Justin Bieber which immediately had the dance community buzzing. I mean how could you got get excited, let’s not forget what happened last time these two mega powers combined with “Where Are Ü Now.” Well, after a long week of teasing via social media by the Biebs, “Cold Water” has been released to the public.

“Cold Water” is an easy listening dance tune where we see the pop icon touch on his once troubled past with the lines “cause we all get lost sometimes you know, it’s how we learn and we grow.”

In addition to Bieber, Major Lazer also called upon MØ for her vocal work making this our latest summer anthem. Sorry Drake, “Cold Water” is coming for you atop the charts.

“I had been trying to link with Benny Blanco and Ed Sheeran for years to find the right song we could all work on together and the moment I heard this one, I knew that it was the one. The timing was perfect and when we approached Justin, he was also in love with the song we all had written. I thought it would be interesting to incorporate another vocal and seeing she’s family, I reached out to Mø and we decided to try our best to make something fresh and interesting as Major Lazer.” – Diplo on recording Cold Water
