We at TSS have been huge fans of Dyro since his humble beginnings. After taking some time off from touring to perfect his evolving sound, Dyro has finally unveiled his latest project titled “Set Me Free.” Packed to the brim with hard hitting basslines that would make any music lover stop what they’re doing and replace it with headbanging, “Set Me Free” does not disappoint. Overall, the EP shines light on an entirely new side of Dyro that is nothing short of obsessive.
“Predator,” the third track on the EP, proves my point exactly. Dyro’s grimy and dark production paired with the aggressive lyrics provided courtesy of hip hop crew DOPE D.O.D make up for one hell of a tune that screams dance floor favorite. Although the track is one of a slower pace, “Predator” still stimulates an incredible amount of vigorous energy. Dyro has said to pull inspiration for the track from SF Bay Area’s Hyphy Movement, and with a track this dirty and eccentric, it really shows.
