Hardwell Unveils His Massive Remix of “Gerudo Valley” from Zelda’s “Ocarina of Time”

Growing up, there was nothing like getting out of school on a Friday, going home, powering up my Nintendo 64, and spending the rest of the day trying to stop Ganondrof from ruling Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game easily took up a solid chunk of my formative years, and in my opinion, had a lot to do with my love for music, considering music played a major role in the game, as you had to learn how to play different songs on an ocarina to do different things. It looks like I wasn’t the only one who spent weekends glued to my TV, trying to beat the game, as Hardwell has unveiled that Ocarina of Time was not only his favorite Nintendo 64 game growing up, but that the Dutch dance titan was also commissioned for a special remix of the Gerudo Valley song in the game for the 2015 Game Awards. Taking the old-school video game classic, Hardwell gives “Gerudo Valley” a new-school spin, layering together glitchy synth stabs and thumping kicks to create a festival anthem for the ages.

In addition, Hardwell has announced that his massive, record-setting charity show in Mumbai on December 13th will be live-streamed to the world, starting at 9 AM EST. This is a show that you won’t want to miss, so mark your calendars.
