Growing up as a teenager, I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Selena Gomez. My bias for the Wizards of Waverly Place star has carried over into my adult life, and if you’re lucky, you might find me unabashedly singing along to one of her hits while I’m stuck in my car on my commute home from work. Lately, the pop princess has been testing out her crossover potential, experimenting with a venture in the dance music space with tracks like “I Want You To Know,” with her then-boyfriend, Zedd, and now, she’s gone full dance with the official remix pack for her hit, “Good For You.”
The remix pack features three re-imaginative remixes of Selena’s track with A$AP Rocky by Nebbra, Yellow Claw & Cesqeaux, and Kasbo. On his remix, Nebbra combines two of dance music’s hottest genres of the moment, future and tropical, for a stunning take full of whimsical xylophone riffs and glimmering synths. Yellow Claw and Cesqeaux take the pop anthem and flip it into a heavy-hitting, high-energy trap remix that is dumped in a pool of low-end bass, while Kasbo’s remix puts his vibe-infused future bass style on display with emotional piano riffs and dreamy melodies.
