Tropical House Will Take Over New York City Next Weekend

Tropical house is the most rapidly growing genre in electronic music. We’ve seen tropical house artists such as Kygo, Matoma and Thomas Jack headlining some of the world’s largest festivals recently. However, aside from these three trailblazers, which artists are being consistently slotted at major festivals? Tropical house is certainly getting attention on music streaming platforms, but it needs become a mainstay in festival lineups to be respected as a major genre. If anyone can make an impact on the popularity of tropical house events, it’s the Tropikult collective. Composed of eight up and coming artists and three massive SoundCloud channels in Tropikult, The Dancing Pineapple and Miami Beats, the collective pulls serious weight in the tropical house world.

Next Friday July 24th, the Tropikult collective will come together for their first show, the “Tropikult Takeover” at The DL in New York City. Not only will the event feature hours of the hottest upcoming tropical house sounds, it will also benefit The organization supplies hospital patients with iPods, complete with personalized playlists to help ease their stay. Presented by, the show will feature DJ sets from Deep Chills, Bobby Brush, Instrum and N2N. If you’re a tropical house fan around NYC next friday, this is a must see event.
