HI-LO’s Gritty Follow-Up Single “Renegade Mastah” Sees Its Release On Heldeep Records

HI-LO’s Gritty Follow-Up Single “Renegade Mastah” Sees Its Release On Heldeep Records

Back in 2009, Fatboy Slim took Wildchild’s “Renegade Master” for a modern spin at the time. It was funky, it was party-ready, and it was just a good time in its entirety. Taking the house party atmosphere and flipping it into more of a warehouse vibe, HI-LO – who we now know is Dutch wunderkind Oliver Heldens – re-imagined the track to be its own original that would be the first of many releases on Heldeep Records.

Setting the stage for the label to be an outlet for bass-driven house selections, “Renegade Mastah” is a perfect example of where the old meets the new. There’s currently a movement taking place among some artists to bring back the gritty, old-school house sound but with a current production twist. Check it out in its full beauty below, and snag your copy here because this is a big one.
