Niles Hollowell-Dhar, better known as KSHMR, has been steadily climbing the ranks of producers with quality release after quality release. Hollowell-Dhar was originally the mastermind and producer behind the dance pop group, The Cataracs, before leaving the group to embark on a solo career as KSHMR. Since exploding onto the scene with his anthemic “Megalodon,” KSHMR has already collaborated with a number of superstar producers like Dillon Francis, Tiesto, Carnage, and R3hab. With festival season in full swing, KSHMR has delivered his latest big room anthem, “JAMMU,” via Spinnin’ Records.
The name, “JAMMU,” comes from a city in Northern India, and the region’s southwestern-asian influences clearly shine through in the track, as it gives KSHMR’s prototypical progressive house sound an interesting global twist. A pounding bass line sets the foundation for KSHMR to show off his production abilities, as he weaves together a piano-driven melody with an electro-influenced string arrangement that gives the track an easy danceability. “JAMMU” is available for download on Beatport.
