Talk about some monstrous news to get us through the middle of the week. Legendary French composer and producer Jean-Michel Jarre has teamed up with fellow countryman Gesaffelstein to unveil his very first piece of original music since 2007! We’ll friends, this collaboration goes by the name of “Conquistador” and it is everything we expected it to be.
For those who aren’t familiar with Jean-Michel Jarre, has been one of the pioneering forces throughout the electronic music scene over the last four decades, with over 80 million albums sold worldwide. As for Gesaffelstein, he is a French sophisticate who is in a league of this own. I guess you could say this was a match made in heaven.
“I wanted to work with the people of his generation,” says Jean-Michel. “His music has this instantly recognizable sound. It’s quite dark, quite mystic.”
