Troll Phace Brings The Riddim In His Diplo N Friends Mix

By now, all the bass heads know his name. TrollPhace, also known as Damon Orienti, is a state side dubstep DJ who left his bridge behind for major releases on OWSLA, SMOG and Never Say Die Records. “Many say dubstep’s dead. It’s not dead. It just went to a big troll cave, and met Troll Phace.” Diplo declares as we are launched into an hour of pounding, pulsating bass-driven madness.

TrollPhace is the fresh face that dubstep needed to reclaim the stragglers, the people who weren’t paying attention to the resurgance, evolution even happening in the UK. We needed someone out here in North America to put a signature touch to their sound that’s entirely different than what we were used to – we have attention problems.

Enter TrollPhace with his raw, metallic, bouncy bass lines – it’s almost impossible once you’ve heard a few of his tracks not to distinguish his sound. He’s the type of artist you immediately recognize when an unfamiliar track comes on at the club.

In a rut, and unsure of his future as a producer, TrollPhace was approached by Skrillex to jump on his remix of Yogi’s track, “Burial.” What followed was arguably the hardest dubstep track of the year, AND a major label signing with OWSLA records. Fresh off a MASSIVE release – “Spilly Talker” – with SMOG Boss 12th Planet and Omar Lynx, this dubstep all-star is set to do big things – recently embarking on a European tour and slated to hit a number of festivals this summer.

Pay close attention at 43:46 for what may be a glimpse of an unreleased “Lost You” remix for Zeds Dead (baby!) Tune in and brace yourself for the drop.
